Dr. Nitin G.Bulagannawar, MBBS, MS, MCh, FAIS

Dr. Nitin is a well-trained and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with training from prestigious institutes in India. He then joined as Assistant Professor in the department of General Surgery at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha, Maharashtra. Subsequently he completed M.Ch. in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery from the highly acclaimed Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, which is affiliated to Harvard University, U.S.A.. There he received comprehensive training in several complex pediatric and adult cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries.

He then joined as Assistant Professor/Consultant in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. Later, he worked for Sagar Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore as Consultant in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.

Having gained valuable experience in Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery he has been working in Colubmia Asia Referral Hospital, Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore from April 2009 as Consultant in Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.

He was part of many surgical programmes like beating heart surgery, especially in patients with critical disease like left main disease and surgery for heart failure. He has gained valuable experience in many complicated surgeries like maze procedure, bloodless cardia surgery and minimal invasive saphenous vein and radial artery harvesting.

In his 6 years experience in Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery he has performed many procedures which have included the complete spectrum of Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. He has special interest in total arterial revascularization, minimal invasive ope heart surgery, valve replacements, pulmonary surgery, masses in mediastinum, surgery for peripheral vascular disease and video assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). He has also present several papers at National and State level conference.
