She was gazetted as an Endocrinologist by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, in February, 2006. She worked as an Endocrine Fellow in the National University Hospital, Singapore, in 2006. She joined Gleneagles Medical Centre, Penang, in 2007 as a locum sessional Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician.She is very involved in many international trials on new diabetic drugs as well as on inhaled insulin. She publishes and presents locally as well as internationally. She is also an honorary tutor, lecturer and examiner for Penang Medical College. She is involved in establishing the diabetes educators' programme in Malaysia as she believes that education is the corner-stone to successful management of patients with diabetes.
