The results of the trial proved to be excellent and Dr Theng was subsequently invited to present the results at the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) in 2008.With his established expertise in the area of refractive surgery, he was handpicked in December 2008 to be the 1st surgeon in Singapore to implant the latest designed Phakic ICL by Alcon.In 2010, he was chosen to be one of SEA’s 1st to evaluate the new Crystalens AO accommodating IOL and presented the results at Cairns in the same year.Dr Theng is also one of the world's leaders in the treatment of Presbyopia and multifocal intra-ocular lens (IOL) implant surgery.He is a sought-after speaker to frequently speak at conferences around the world.
